Jul 25Welcome to Club 30+! An evening clubbing experience where the party wraps up in time for you to grab some food, get the bus home and put your feet up for Match of the Day! In our teens and twenties, we could let loose every weekend and dance all our cares away until the wee hours. When we hit our 30s however, the chances for a late night out get slimmer due to various reasons like children, shift work, clubs being 'too young' or those Saturday late night troubles queuing for a chipper and waiting for a taxi. That's where the 30s club comes in to reclaim your weekend! Dance the evening away as we spin the best music you can actually dance to from the 80s, 90s, 00's and beyond mixed with current hits. Emma Langford
Aug 14Emma Langford puts a contemporary spin on the sound of Irish folk; her songs present a unique look at her country's folklore and history, bringing ancient stories into the present, and in so-doing, offering insight into some of life's universal truths.  Her debut album Quiet Giant earned her the RTÉ Radio 1 Folk Award for Best Emerging Artist in 2018. From her second album Sowing Acorns, her ballad The Winding Way Down to Kells Bay and epic acapella anthem Birdsong both quickly climbed the charts, solidifying her place as a versatile and much sought-after singer-songwriter on the Irish and international music scene.  Her live shows, dotted with folk tales and anecdotes, are praised as witty, engaging, and utterly enthralling and she has been often compared to Janis Ian, Joan Baez and Ani DiFranco not only in tone and lyricism, but for her uncompromising sense of self.  Langford’s recent work sees her turn her focus to global issues, exploring animal cruelty, violence against women, and colonial violence in Hunting The Hare and Boys Will Be Boys. Her much anticipated forthcoming album is intended to be a clarion call, with strong central themes of social injustice, and of lesser-known women in history and mythology.
