THIS RETRO FUTURE and support
Oct 9
THIS RETRO FUTURE Are a newly founded West of Scotland rock band formed at the end of 2025. Made up of Sean McBain on rhythm guitar and vocals, Robbie Dunlop on lead guitar, Ruben Hernando on bass, and Ania Pieczara on drums, the band brings together a wealth of individual experience from years spent writing, recording, performing, and living inside music. The sound is straight-up rock: heavy guitars, big solos driven bass, powerful drums, hooky choruses, and songs built to be played loud in real rooms, in front of real people. Though new on the scene as a band, THIS RETRO FUTURE are not starting from scratch. The musicianship is sharp, the songs are ready, and the intent is simple: play anywhere, play everywhere, and build something from the ground up. The band have a first single release coming soon, and are hard at work moving through the early band milestones: rehearsing, recording, releasing and gigging and there is no better place to gig than the DREAD. 13 SCREAM - THE UNDERNEATH - FUZ CALDRIN
Oct 30
13 SCREAM Having been a time served member of the independent music scene, 13SCRƐAM is the brainchild of James McCulloch and, is the band he has always wanted to be in. British Rock with a visceral, aggressive, raw punk perspective, standing on the shoulders of giants, we are screaming our influence from artists such as Therapy, Kerbdog, The Wildhearts, Danko Jones, and, from the new era of Alt Rock, The Empty Page and DR DR. In Tarot, the number 13 represents Death. After a long and arduous journey to mental health, McCulloch’s recent diagnosis of complex ADHD has brought enlightenment and change 13SCRƐAM is his way of marking his own, metaphorical death, and a subsequent cathartic, reimagining of self, now he finally knows who he really is. It’s an honour to bring this vision to life, this feels exciting, because it feels right. Bringing a ton of charisma, talent, and prowess to 13SCRƐAM, Adam Bam Bam McNaughton also brings with him a touch, of the Avant Garde. Having spent many years looking for a band that allows him the freedom to create, explore and express himself as a drummer, musician and performer. Within 13SCRƐAM Bam Bam has finally found common ground and a bond rooted in music and lived experience. One that encourages his artistic embellishment and enables him to flourish. ELVANA: ELVIS FRONTED NIRVANA - EDINBURGH - CORN EXCHANGE
Nov 7
ELVANA - THE WORLD'S FINEST ELVIS FRONTED TRIBUTE TO NIRVANA! From somewhere deep in the bowels of Disgraceland, the King of Rock & Roll steps out of the afterlife, plugs in, and takes the mic for the band that changed the ’90s forever. Elvis fronts Nirvana. No compromise. Just pure, electrified chaos. Blending the swagger of rockabilly with the raw punch of grunge, Elvana rips through Nirvana’s catalogue while smashing it together with the finest moments of Elvis Presley’s legacy. Expect overdriven riffs, hip-shaking grooves, loud guitars, louder screams, and the kind of mash-ups that feel wrong until they feel absolutely perfect. It smells like cheeseburgers and teen spirit, daddy-o. Described as “Bafflingly Brilliant” by The Guardian, “Absolutely f**king epic” by NME, and “The only band worth getting excited about this year” by Vice, Elvana have built a reputation as one of the wildest live experiences on the planet. Even Billy Idol joked that if Elvis were still around, he’d probably be covering Nirvana anyway. Two icons. One stage. Zero rules. If you haven’t seen Elvana yet, you’re missing out.If you have, you already know… and you’re probably checking tour dates right now. Stupid and contagious. In the absolute best way. 🎸🔥👑 Age Restrictions: 8+ Only, Under 14s accompanied by an adult = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = 🎸 ELVANA VIP MEET & GREET – START TIME 5PM 🎤 Elvana and The King are beyond thrilled to announce that, for the first time EVER, we’ll be offering exclusive VIP Meet & Greet experiences at selected dates. The Boneshakers with support from Paul Rose
Sep 25
THE BONESHAKERS Led by world-renowned guitarist Randy Jacobs (Was (Not Was)), The Boneshakers deliver a high-octane blend of Detroit soul, Muscle Shoals R&B, funk, and blues that hits hard every night. Band members have toured and recorded with legends including Bonnie Raitt, B.B. King, Buddy Guy, Aretha Franklin, Keb’ Mo’, Seal, Elton John, Bob Dylan, Stevie Wonder, Iggy Pop, and more. Formed in the mid-’90s by Jacobs and the late, great Sweetpea Atkinson, The Boneshakers quickly built a reputation for groove-driven, powerhouse performances and acclaimed recordings on Virgin/Pointblank Records. Over the years, the band has released a string of celebrated albums, earned major blues and independent music awards, and collaborated with artists like Mindi Abair and Joe Bonamassa. The legacy continues. Today’s lineup features electrifying vocalist Jenny Langer—Virginia Blues Hall of Fame inductee and International Blues Challenge winner—bringing fresh fire to the band’s unmistakable sound. Their recent releases have topped UK Blues and US Soul Blues charts, earned Billboard Top 10 status, and drawn praise from Rolling Stone and Blues Matters. A Boneshakers show is pure groove, soul, and swagger—don’t miss it. Paul Rose Born in Newcastle, England in July 1966, is without doubt one of the most unique and talented guitarists in the world today. Fundamentally a rock guitarist, his extraordinary playing style touches on blues, country, jazz and folk, blended together into a style that is entirely his own. Never a gig goes by where audience members don’t comment that Paul is the best guitarist they’ve seen and heard. Rory Gallagher awarded Paul a Fender ’62 Reissue Strat, with a Vox AC30, in a Fender sponsored competition that invited guitarists from all over the UK to appear in local music shops. Entrants were required to play in front of a video camera using the guitar and amp in question, without any pedals, to be edited and shown to Rory at a later date. Out of 1000 guitarists, Rory selected Paul as the winner and described him as ‘a hot player with a hot future.’ Having also won ‘Guitarist of the Year’ in Guitarist Magazine a couple of years later, it is plainly obvious that Paul is a force to be reckoned with. Paul has worked as a producer/artist/session guitarist with Ted McKenna (drummer with The Sensational Alex Harvey Band, Rory Gallagher, Micheal Schenker, Bobby Womack), Gerry McAvoy (bassist with Rory Gallagher for 25 years), Randy Brecker (The Brecker Brothers), Bill Evans (tenor sax Miles Davis, Mick Jagger, Herbie Hancock, Derek Trucks) & John ‘Rabbit’ Bundrick (Free, Bob Marley and the Wailers, Jon Martyn, Pete Townsend and 30 years with The Who) amongst others. His last album ‘Double Life’ was recorded at the Steakhouse, Hollywood, CA which Paul co produced with multi Grammy award winner John Wooler (Gary Moore, Johnny Winter, john Lee Hooker, Albert Collins). The album featured Terry Evans on vocals (35 years with Ry Cooder), Richie Morales on drums (Al Demeola, The Brecker Brothers, Mike Stern), Randy Jacobs on rhythm guitar (Elton John, Kris Kristofferson, Was Not Was), Bernard Fowler lead vocals (backing vocals with the Rolling Stones for 25 years) & Sweat Pea Atkinson on vocals (Was Not Was, Lyle Lovett). The album received 5 star reviews across the board, and gig of the month for London during the album tour. Paul has spent the last 18 months in the New York area playing with his US version of the Paul Rose Trio, featuring Richie Morales (Spyra Gyra, Al Demeola, The Brecker Brothers) and Mark Egan (Pat Metheny Group, David Sanborn, Gil Evans). With a weekly residency at the Bitter End in Greenwich Village and gigs at the Iridium and B. B. Kings.
